While the fish we are offering are spawned by us in captivity in the wild these fish can be found in a small tributary of the upper Rio Negro in Brazil. In the aquarium they can reach an adult size of 2 1/4" but will breed at a smaller size. These are a soft water fish that prefer a pH of 5.6-7.2 and a temperature of 68-76 degrees. We prefer to keep all of our Corydoras on a sand bottom we also provide a little driftwood and a few live plants with them. All of our Corydoras tanks have a spawning mop in them an we also keep java moss in most of them. We like to offer variety of textures for the fish to spawn on so whether the fish prefer the mop or java moss they may also spawn directly on the aquarium glass. Our Corydoras all love to devour live black worms and when kept on sand the worms will burrow in the sand and the Corydoras love to dig through the sand in search of the worms.
